Blue Heron 5K
Join us for our third annual road 5k around Blue Heron Lake in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, July 4, 2026!
The 5K is part of the Pacific Association-USA Track & Field (PA USAT&F) Road Short Course Grand Prix Series. The rolling course runs through Golden Gate Park. The event is open to the entire running community and will include an elite field and prize money.
Donations and proceeds from the race will support For All Mothers+ whose programs advance maternal equity and access in sports and beyond. In collaboration with For All Mothers+, we also offer family-forward options including a Lactation Station, FAM+ Kids Zone, and a discounted parent-child entry and family entry.

The Excelsior Running Club is proud to present the 5th annual Star City San Bruno Mountain Half Marathon! Sure to become one of the top trail half marathons in the country, the race boasts spectacular views of the Pacific, Bay and San Francisco.
The race is 95% on trail, kicks in 2,400 ft of elevation fun, and has a screaming single track downhill section.
But besides a great trail challenge, your entry also gets you a ticket to the Star City Music Festival and a great lunch from the Brisbane Lions Club booth!
A portion of your registration fee will go to support the San Mateo County Parks Department and local environmental non-profit, San Bruno Mountain Watch.
Our race was dreamed up by runners who love the trails of San Bruno Mountain. We wanted to create an amazing running experience, and then have a great party to celebrate our accomplishment. As far as we know, no other trail half marathon provides the complete package like the Star City San Bruno Mountain Half Marathon!
